Organization

"The Academy Marching Musketeers"

Organized as a Line Battalion with four companies, two platoons in each company, and four squads in each platoon.

 

The fourth year senior cadets organize as a battalion
Command and Staff Section

The Command section consists of the Commander, Executive
Officer, and the Command Sergeant Major.

The Staff Section consists of the S-1, S-2, S-3, S-4, S-5 for PAO, S-5 for Recruitment, and an Armory Officer.

 

There are four line companies, A, B, C, & D

Each company meets during one class period daily. The total number of cadets assigned to the battalion are spread over four class periods. Each class period represents a letter company.

This practice allows the third year cadets to be in the
following leadership positions:

Platoon Leader, Platoon Sergeant, First Sergeant, Field First Sergeant, and sometimes as section sergeants.

The second year cadets serve as the squad leaders.

The first year cadets serve as the squad members.
