The
"MISSION OF JROTC" as mandated by the U.S. Army Cadet
Command:
"TO MOTIVATE YOUNG PEOPLE TO BE BETTER CITIZENS"
The instructors endeavor to do this by teaching discipline, health and
safety, leadership, citizenship, patriotism, history, time management,
customs and traditions of the service, physical fitness, drill and
ceremonies, goal oriented objectives, life skills, team building concepts,
and communications.
All students are issued a current standard U.S. Army uniform and are
required to wear the uniform at least once weekly. They are responsible
for the upkeep, cleaning and in good repair, shining of shoes, brass,
attachment of all ribbons, badges, and other accouterments properly. This
teaches responsibility and attention to detail. A large part of their
grade depends on wearing of the uniform. It is not an option or choice, it
is a must! Cadets must wear their uniforms once a week as well as standing
and saying the pledge to our national flag and know the Cadet Creed daily
to be in the program .
